Details for memorial services honoring the late Lindsey Graham were announced this morning. Candidate filing for the special GOP primary for U.S. Senate starts at noon.
State budget negotiators meet again this afternoon. Hopefully, they’ll break the impasse. Skylar will be there. Tomorrow will be three weeks past the start of the new fiscal year.

U.S. Sen. Darline Graham confirmed she will seek election to a full, six-year term. Her opponents in the race to replace her late brother on November’s ballot will include two Republican congressmen. Fifth District Rep. Ralph Norman announced his bid Saturday, a day after President Donald Trump endorsed Graham. Seventh District Rep. Russell Fry launched his campaign yesterday. First District Rep. Nancy Mace announced she’s not seeking the seat. But she criticized Fry’s decision.

South Carolina can go ahead with a condensed timeline to get ballots to overseas voters for the upcoming special U.S. Senate primary. The state Elections Commission signed an agreement yesterday with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Funeral services in Washington for the late Sen. Lindsey Graham will be closed to the public, but people are invited to pay their respects during a procession in Columbia. A service at First Baptist Church in Columbia is also public. Seating is not reserved.
