Good morning South Carolina!

The University of South Carolina Gamecocks face off against Kent State at 12:45 p.m. Saturday. Ahead of game day, Pete Iacobelli received a sneak peek tour of Williams-Brice to see the first round of improvements to the stadium, which is receiving $350 million makeover.

“It will be one of the nicest stadiums in the SEC and the best game-day experience.” - Jeremiah Donati, the University of South Carolina’s athletics director on $350 million upgrades to the school’s football stadium.

For those attending South Carolina’s opening football game Saturday against Kent State, it will be a new experience at Williams-Brice Stadium as crews worked through this week to complete phase one of what the university calls a “reimagined” version of an arena that’s served as the school’s college football home since 1934.
